Are you a man who likes to incorporate a bit of tradition into your look? Or do you know a man who does? Here are seven classic gift ideas for men.

1. Tie:

Can a man ever have too many ties? Probably not. There are the everyday ties, the fun ties, the bow ties, and the classic ties. You know the thin, solid coloured ones that are sold by designer brands like Hermes? These are beautiful ties that will be in style forever. They make great gifts and are sure to please their lucky recipient.

2. Cufflinks:

Cufflinks are a classic gift. They have been in style for a hundred years and will continue to be for the next hundred. They now come in many styles for every occasion, whether worn casually or formally. From plain silver, to real diamonds, to semi precious stones, you'll always be able to find a style you like.

3. Pocket watch:

A handsome watch is a great gift to buy for a handsome wrist. Because of the cost, it might be well suited for a very special occasion like a graduation, twenty-first birthday, or wedding anniversary. If your boyfriend, husband, son, or brother has the courage to wear a pocket watch, these are fabulously stylish accessories.

4. Pocket square:

Every classic man walks around with a handkerchief. These are meant for his personal use, as well as to give to a woman in distress. Whether she is sneezing or crying, a gentleman will be ready on the scene. Traditional folding styles include the cagney, the puff, the cooper, the diagonal shell, and the Astaire.

5. Driving gloves:

Driving gloves make a wonderful gift. These smooth, fitted, leather gloves are the perfect accessory to keep a man's hands warm during colder months and when his hands need to be exposed to the wheel (hence "driving gloves"). Black and dark brown are great colours to go with.

6. Money clip:

A lot of men like to carry around their bills in a clip. It keeps things tight and thin. A nice silver money clip with their initials engraved makes a great gift. It is something that they are sure to hold onto even if they prefer traditional leather wallets.

7. A pipe:

Okay, this one is more for fun. Most men don't smoke pipes anymore, but when they do it is so cool. It is the sign of an old man, a man who lived in another time. A man who has spent many hours thinking and puffing while standing in his library, staring out in the world. If you're choosing a gift for a young man, I wouldn't recommend a pipe, but if they're a bit older, or an actual pipe smoker, it's a great idea.
